The music player

The first letter E that stands for events is going to have music playing, one of the goal of the installation is to be interactive so we want the users to choose their favourite songs.

The first idea was a song request bot like the ones twitch streamers use for the viewers to choose songs. Through a youtube stream that would be played the users could send the links in the chat or type the name of the song in order to play, the bot already manages the queue.

After a bit more research and going through many song party jukebox style websites I found https://festify.rocks/ that is user friendly and easy to manage.

The system works the following way, one host plays the music and share the code for guests to add music to the queue.

The building of the system would be set up with a computer hosting https://festify.rocks/ hiding inside the pedestal and the speakers connected to it. For the users choosing the song we would lend a phone to the user where they can search for the song and add it to the queue.
