During the building class today, we had a chat with Harry and Douwe about problems we encountered while building the installation. We also discussed our pedestal and all the things we are currently working on.

Earlier today we had our pedestal transported to Saxion. Harry said that the size of the pedestal is not as bad as he had imagined, and he allowed us to store it in G6.29.

We started our feedback session with a discussion about the design document. Marije asked Harry about the morphological charts. He said that she has to make a morphological chart only for the letters with digital interaction.

We haven't really worked on the design document, because we were focussed on building the pedestal and letters.

Harry and Douwe were very interested in the progress we've made with programming the interaction of the letters. Alex showed them the sensors that he had programmed. Harry suggested smoothing the distance sensor out because the test they made showed that its values fluctuate way too much.

Alex also showed the Bluetooth interaction and the LED strip that is controlled by music. After the test, Douwe suggested to us to test what maximum distance of the speaker and the mic of the LED strip could be.

We had an important question - 'What is the best way to attach the letters to the pedestal?'

We already have the idea of using bolts, but we wanted to ask Harry and Douwe in case they have a better suggestion.

Douwe suggested using strong magnets or make holes in the pedestal, and Harry said that it is best if we use bolts, since we want the letters to be stable.

Finally, we had a skype call with Julia (because she had to go home before the class) and discussed the website.

Harry and Douwe liked the website. And they said that they are very happy with the progress we have made.
