Today I had no motivation to star the day. After yesterday being, pretty much a disaster and the goals for the day not being met, the only thing I wanted to do is to stay at home and go through my notes for the web development exam on Tuesday.

The legs of the pedestal were unstable, so the first thing we wanted to do was solving this problem.

When I went home last night, I tried to think of a way to solve the problem with the instability of the pedestal. I was very tired so the only sketch, of the idea I came up with, that I was capable of doing was:

I thought that maybe if we attach feet to the legs of the pedestal the construction might be more stable.

In the morning Juli and I talked to Walter, and we asked him for advice on how to stabilize the construction. He suggested a connection part for the back legs and attaching feet to the legs. Walter also offered us some wooden planks. He also said that he is going to the construction store and he can buy the wooden plank for the back of the pedestal for us.

We attached wooden planks for the speaker at the bottom of the pedestal. And then applied primer to the pedestal.

While waiting for the primer to dry, we cut all the legs by 15cm each with a saw. This was very difficult at first and it took us a lot of time. After cutting them we applied primer on them as well.

After that, we cut the wooden plank for the feet that Walter gave us. It was the most difficult to cut because it was thicker.

After we had painted all the parts of the pedestal, we cut the connection part for the legs, that Walter bought for us. This time the cuts were not perfect. Walter helped us out again with a machine on which you can put the sandpaper and shave the wood.

The next thing we did was applying the black paint to the pedestal and the legs.

The black paint needs 20 hours to dry, so Julia and I decided to finish the work on the pedestal on Wednesday. We agreed that it will be best if I get some time to take a look at the web development exam.

Overall feel more positive about the progress that we did today. Even though the pedestal is not done yet, we still did a lot of work. The most important thing is that we painted the pedestal. I would say that it was a successful day today.
