Week 1: kick-off

The holiday is over and we are going to school again! We started on monday with the project FAT. I already heard a lot about this project and I’m really excited. First we got a presentation from Mark. We are going to have a busy week. I have to find a partner in crime. That’s going to be Marijke Beckeringh, because I worked with her a few times and that worked well.


Also we have to get the brief from the client (Enschede Promotion). Enschede Promotion is the city marketing organization of Enschede. It was a nice briefing and the company does a lot of nice things. The focus in this project is attracting visitors (local, regional, national as international) to the city center. There are more target groups in the Netherlands and Germany:

- Inhabitants from Enschede & region, in general all ages (8 till 80 years old) with a focus on 18 / 34 years for our online products.

- Daily visitors from the Eastern part of the Netherlands (Twente, Achterhoek, Deventer, Zutphen, Lochem), mostly women from 18 – 44 years old who are interested in shopping, dining, nature, events and going out at night.

- Visitors from the Netherlands, mostly women from 21 – 49 years old who love to go on a

citytrip and are interested in shopping, dining, nature, events and going out (at night / festivals

etc.) We call them the pleasure seekers.


Another task this week is filling in your individual learning goals and think about the pains and gains from Enschede.
