After developing our theme-based letter concept and thus establishing a real connection to Enschede in the break, we felt so much more confident to tackle our meeting with the product owner. Dzhulia had also drawn a nice sketch of the letters and their design in the break, so we had something visual to show to Boris.
Talking About Sponsors
As Boris was talking to another group first, we decided to make good use of our spare time and pick some potential sponsors for our installation, since the materials are going to be expensive for sure. This is the list that we created:
Planet of sound - (its on havenstraatpassage)
https://www.regioinbedrijf.nl/bedrijven/enschedese-kunststof-fabriek-ekf-b-v.60850/
https://drimble.nl/bedrijf/enschede/37440179/edge-injection-molding.html
Arduino
Conrad
Grolsch
Polaroid
Hardware stores
Something with stickers :p
Restaurants
Bars
Museum fabriek Enschede
garden centres
clothing stores
paint/material stores
ICE CREAM stores
We definitely don't suffer from a lack of ideas, especially because our installation is not super specific to a shop or an industry in Enschede. Now the next task will be to contact these sponsors, which is Marije and Julia's responsibility.
Feedback from Boris
With our new sketch, it was easy to present our concept to Boris. He liked it and also appreciated the fact that we had drawn a connection to Enschede. The only thing that he was a bit in doubt of was whether the categories of our letters would really match the target group. Therefore, some target group research will be inevitable, but this will also help us substantiate our idea in front of the client next Monday. Boris also discussed the different categories of the grading form with us in more detail, because many teams stumple into the trap of delivering a beautiful product, but not sticking to the requirements of the evaluation form. Last but not least, Boris also gave us a friendly reminder to keep our blog updated, which is indeed something that we have neglected so far.
