Week 2: Select a Partner Shop

After today's lesson, we went into the city and took a look at the Haverstraatpassage. We had already chosen De Broodbode as our preferred shop, but we also checked out other shops on this street.

Eventually, we had seen all the shops and decided to approach the manager of De Broodbode. Marije and Julia went into the restaurant while the other team members were waiting outside. The shop owner was very friendly and Marije did a great job explaining our request to him. He already knew about our project and said that we were the first group asking him if we could put our installation in front of his shop. To our surprise, he was perfectly fine with it. He did not seem to bother which kind of installation it was, so he was okay with the letter installation. He even offered us two possible spots - one in front of his restaurant and another one next to it. The spot next to the restaurant is in front of an empty shop. If our installation turns out to be really big, we can place it there. He will also provide us with electricity and extension cables, which will be really convenient. In the end, he gave Marije his contact details so we can write him an email in the next few days. We are very happy and were indeed surprised how quickly we managed to find a shop.
