Week 4

Monday

We started this week with a meeting, where we informed Marije because she was away last week. After that we discussed about the design of the letters again, how are we going to stick the pieces of the letters together: glue? like the useless machine? Also something we need to test, especially for the 'round' letters (S,C,D).

Then we discussed about the sponsors, we are going to make a mail today to send to them.

We spoke to another team and they told Grolsch didn't want to work with them because promoting beer can be disturbing for kids. So we thought about if we could do the beer idea and then we decided to ditch the beer idea and do activities ('doing'). Also because the client missed activities in our topics. After the meeting we discussed our ideas with Boris, the product owner. We are a bit afraid that the technical part will be too easy and Boris agreed that we need to keep it in mind, that we don't ditch too much. We talked also a bit about the survey that Marijke and Nina did last week, that we need more response on it so we will all ask visitors that we know.


Tuesday

Unfortunately two of us can't be here today, Nina can't come because of the bus strike and Marije is sick. So with the remaining four we start with finetuning the sponsor mail, Julia wrote a concept yesterday. Alex also made a hardware material list to know what we will need and to mail hardware stores. Julia and Dzhulia calculated the total of ply wood we will need so we can inform our possible sponsors. Marijke made pictures of the broodbode and started with the Zephyr 3D environment to use with the 3D model.

Boris told us that we should think about the H, is history attractive enough and if we can do interaction with it.


Wednesday

Remco gave us feedback about the pedestal, after seeing the computer screen Dzhulia made a new drawing so we have to think about that. Remco also gave some ideas about how the pedestal could look like. After it we thought and drew ideas how it could look like.

Johannes talked with us about the database and how we are going to use it, he suggest to use 2 different QR codes, the first one to log in so that you easily track what people do and go to. Then he asked what the goal of the installation is and when is it a succes? That's something we need to think about.

Nina finished some logo options so we talked about that and we thought about it would be nice if we have a visual logo thingy like the facebook thumb, so we'll think about what our visual logo could be.

We also had a scrum meeting with Yvens where we did a retrospective, the things we need to improve are: division of tasks, shedule and discussions. We fee like we don't always have a equal division of tasks, we are a bit delayed on the schedule and sometimes we have quite long discussions about decisions.


After that we had our first building lesson where we got feedback on our design document and we had more discussion about the design of the pedestal, with Harry and Douwe. A new idea we had is that we use tables instead of building the whole pedestal, we will make a final decision next week.
