Week 8: Create the Web Page for Activities (Doing)

In the last three days, I was focusing on creating the web page for our category "doing" (activities). Although it was an easy task, since this website is based on the same structure that the already created nature and culture pages share, it was very time-consuming due to the research and due to the fact that I had to help the building team a lot with their tasks.

Research

For activities in and around Enschede (Boekelo, Het Rutbeek) I really found a lot. As information sources, I used uitinenschede.nl, tripadvisor.com and my knowledge about activities in Enschede. As usual, I mostly copied the texts from uitinenschede.nl or the websites of the venues and translated them from Dutch/German to English using deepl.com. I grouped the activities that I found in four categories:

• Fun & entertainment

• Discover & explore

• Indoor sports

• Outdoor sports

Coding

The website follows the structure that I already established for the Culture Page.

Coding was mainly copy and paste from the Culture page. But it was not easy today due to the hot weather and since my mind needs some rest after all these weeks of hard work. Therefore, I decided not to tackle the final missing page - Evening - today, but next week, and focus on some style improvements tomorrow.
