Today, we had our feedback with the product owner, Boris. The first thing he did was check the blog, checking each team member's posts. Some of us already have a lot of individual blog posts and others have a lot less, but we will make sure to catch up by the end of the project. Boris reminded us that the blog will be used to grade us individually and also the progress of the team, so that later in the team grading, it can be justified that some tasks were a lot of work. He advised us that, if we want to pass this project, we will have to update the blog soon. Otherwise, we might not pass the project.
Boris also said that we should finish all the interaction by Friday. If we do not have everything finished, we might fail the project or at least get a reminder that we really have to hurry up.
Then, Boris wanted to know more about the interaction of the installation. For example, we need a way of attracting visitors to the installation. He was very sceptical about us not having a state machine. At least we need to have a standby mode and a state for interaction. Boris suggested us to have a look at the code for the state machines or use a simple if/else statement. Generally, Boris seemed worried about our interaction, which also worried us a bit.
Boris started discussing with us why we did not have an attraction mode. We thought that an attraction mode was not necessary due to the mere size of the installation, and it is also too expensive. He was not really convinced, but now we have to work with what we have. Our priority for now is to finish the interaction of the installation by Friday, and if Harry and Douwe insist on us putting an attraction state, we'll deal with it next week. Anyways, we're happy that Boris gave us so much useful feedback because it really helps us a lot to focus on the right things right now.
