Monday I couldn't come because of a hospital check-up.
Tuesday I got an email back from a sticker store, De Letterconcurrent, telling me that they are interested in sponsoring! Nina and I went there, telling them what we were thinking about, how much, how big etc. I told them about the exhibition days, he told us that we'll need around 5000 stickers. I was pretty blown away by that number, but I think it's better to leave it like this and not tell him that we think we need a lot less. We also talked about wanting t-shirts and if they might also sponsor us with it, they didn't know yet so we went back to school again and there I mailed him all the information and we'll wait what they will say about how much they will sponsor us.
Later today we had a little scrum meeting with Yvens, we showed him the scrum board and adjusting some things like removing dubble tasks. For the rest we are quite happy with how it is going with scrum!
Wednesday
Today I showed the flyer to the team, took their feedback and changed some things, mostly the colors. I used the green from the stylesheet, but because we are not using this color in the actual installation, it's better to change it to red, so I did. We also talked about the text boxes in the flyer, it's probably better to remove them. So I'll work that out.
I also helped out Marije, she has to change the morphological charts for the Design Document, but she is very busing with building the letters. So I took over the tasks of adjusting the charts and with some advice from her, it went quite well!
Thursday
We decided that I will stay home today, at school they will continue building but I'm not involved in that part, so I can work on my own tasks. In the afternoon my dad called to tell me that my grandma passed away, so it was quite a hard day. I still wanted to keep on doing some things, to have distraction. We decided that we will use icons inside of the QR codes to make clear where the letter/qr code is standing for. That was already I wanted to do and it isn't too hard to do right now so I began with this. It took quite a bit of time but in the end of the day I finished creating all the icons in Illustrator, so I sent it to Julia who will make the QR codes.
Friday The rest was still building and Marije lasercut the QR codes. We discovered that it didn't work, so we need to color them in. We tried some different methodes, paint, fineliners and a red pen. We found out that the fineliner is the best method, so I started with coloring it. We also made a document with all the details that we still need to do and easy to forget, so we also planned everything in next week. I got some tasks, like making the sponsor poster and signs that will function as instructions for the letters such as 'Press me' and 'Come closer'.
I also still did the social media so during the week I made a new post where we revealed the meaning of a letter after someone guessing it, I made some stories and sometimes I needed to give hints in order to help people guessing the right word.
This is how the QR codes turned out after coloring:
